Ingredients
150g warm plant milk/ water
50g plain flour
50g bread flour
1/2 tsp dried yeast
1/4 tsp baking soda
a bit salt
a bit sugar
Methods
1. Add yeast (1/2 tsp) in the warm plant milk (150g), mix well.
2. Add flour (100g), baking soda (1/4 tsp), salt (a bit), sugar (a bit). Mix well and rest for 30 mins.
3. Cook at low heat for 8 - 10 mins until the top is cooked. Turn it over and cook for another 30 secs.
Note
1. Cook at low heat. Cook one crumpet at one go and in the centre of the pan.
To improve the taste:
1. Mix flour and plant milk first and put in the fridge overnight.
2. Dissolve yeast with warm water. Add it back to the batter (room temp). Rest the batter for 30 mins.
3. Cook at low heat for 8 - 10 mins until the top is cooked. Turn it over and cook for another 30 secs.
Chocolate sauce
Ingredients:
25g chocolate
25g vegan butter
2tbsp plant milk
Methods:
1. chop 25 g chocolate
2. melt 25g vegan butter and 2 tbsp plant milk. pour in the chopped chocolate
*add a bit cinnamon to enhance the flavour
Note:
1. If it does not melt completely, heat in warm water or microwave.
