This is a unique walk along the famous White Cliffs of Dover.
Walk along the White Cliffs of Dover this is a calm relaxing
walk, with the option of taking children from 6 years old. We will stop and shout into the ocean in the middle of the hike! We will shout and shout everything that we didn’t say, everything painful that is inside us. Separately for those who want we can visit the Dover castle.
The route will take you past the Fan Bay Deep Shelter, a shelter built in just one hundred days during the Second World War to protect the crews of the nearby coastal defence guns. The trail then goes to the amazing South Foreland Lighthouse, a Victorian lighthouse built to guide ships through the shifting sand banks and the straight of Dover.
There are wild ponies rambling along the clifftop, they're a great sight, but please take care as they are wild animals, and dogs should definitely be kept on a lead when near them.
The walk is not the longest and would be great for kids, but as it is still over five kilometres and involves some inclines so would maybe be better for slightly older children
