Communicable Disease

There are over 70 diseases and conditions that are reportable in North Carolina. Reporting is required for physicians and laboratories. Your health department staff investigates all reports of diseases to determine if there is a risk of spread and takes measures to control the risk.

Communicable disease related services are available at each health department.
