WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In this Maker Lab methodology approach we will learn about SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals), moreover, the topic about “Good Health and Good Being”. During 10 sessions of 1 hour (5 weeks) students will be doing an escape room where they will learn about emotions and sentiments. Also, in each activity they will work on one specific feeling and they will have to create a product relationated to that emotion. In the last part of the escape room, they will have to create an “emotional box” with the 3D printer and in there, they will have to share all the products made during the escape room.
WHAT WILL THEY HAVE TO DO?
Firstly, students will be introduced to the topic by a message and a map sent by Jon. In it they will be told that Jon has anxiety and because of that, he has problems controlling and expressing his emotions. Due to this, students will be invited to go to the emotions´ world in which they will learn different emotions, as well as different ways to help Jon. Finally they will be asked to create a box with a 3D printer so they can take it back and send it to Jon.
The escape room will be first explained and the map will be followed by Genially, whereas the instructions are going to be explained by a scratch story. During all the sessions students will use different technological tools, such as, 3D printer, bee bot, tick it panels and computers.
All the resources that will be used can be found in this site.
