Juan Diego Fernández Agúndez

Mi nombre es Juan Diego Fernández y estudio 4º de la ESO en el Instituto IES-Al Qázeres, de Cáceres, donde curso la asignatura de Cultura Científica, una de las materias optativas que se proponen a los alumnos de mi curso en nuestro centro.

Desde muy pequeño me apasiona el periodismo y la escritura, pero, aunque pueda parecer contradictorio, me gustaría enfocar mi futuro hacia la Ciencia. No sé exactamente por qué carrera decantarme, todavía tengo dos años para decidirlo. Siempre me he planteado por qué no relacionar mi afición por el periodismo con la ciencia, y la iniciativa Wisibilízalas me ha demostrado que no es imposible. En general, no me gusta cerrarme puertas, por eso no descarto que en un futuro cambie de opinión respecto a qué hacer con mi vida. Podría decir que se me dan mejor las asignaturas de letras que las de ciencias, pero las primeras no me entusiasman tanto, por eso elegí cursar Cultura Científica, decisión de la cual me siento muy satisfecho de haber tomado.

Entre mis aficiones destaca el deporte, en especial el tenis y el fútbol, y me apasiona el mundo de la televisión, la radio y el cine, por este último ha aumentado mi pasión notablemente en los últimos meses. Pero mi mayor pasión es sin duda la Semana Santa, a la que llevo vinculado desde hace ya muchos años.

Mi objetivo a corto plazo es mantener los buenos resultados que, afortunadamente, me acompañan desde que empecé secundaria.

My name is Juan Diego Fernández and I study 4º of Secundary School at the IES Al-Qázeres, in Cáceres, where I study the subject of Scientific Culture, one of the subjects that are offered to the students of my course in our centre.

Since I am really young, I love journalism and writing, but even though it could be surprising, I would like to study in the future something related to science. I don't know exactly what career I am going study, I have two years to decide it. I have always asked myself if I could relate journalism, my passion, with science, and this initiative, Wisibilizalas, has shown me that thi is possible. In general, I don't like to close doors, so I don't rule out that in the future I will change my opinion about what to do with my life. I could say that for me subjects related with letters are quite easier than the ones related with science, but I don't enjoy the first ones as much as the second ones. That is why I chose the subject of Scientific Culture, and now I kno that this was a really good decision.

My hobbies are playing tennis or seeing football matches , and I love television, radio and cinema. In the last months I have developed my passion for the last one. But my biggest passion is the Holy Week, to which I have been related for a few years.

My short term objective is to keep the good results that, fortunately, are with me since I have started the Secondary School.
