You Me We All is a Boise-based and parent-led nonprofit organization focused on supporting youth mental wellness in schools. Through partnerships among families, youth, schools, teachers, counselors, and the community, they seek to empower youth and families with evidence-based resources, meaningful engagement, and community collaborations.
The organization is currently spearheading four initiatives: appropriate use of technology in schools, transitioning to recommended school start times to improve sleep and mood, fostering more outdoor experiences for youth, and upstream suicide prevention. You Me We All organizes educational speaker events throughout the year and maintains a wealth of parent resources on their website. To learn more visit YouWeMeAll.org or sign-up for their newsletter.
Parents are coming together to support a simple but powerful idea: delaying the introduction of smart devices for children. Research shows that early internet and social media exposure blocks authentic connections and delays social development, both of which are critical to our children's growing minds and mental well-being. The Wait Until 8th program helps families connect with others in their school who are committed to delaying the introduction of smart devices (or making them safer if your child already has one). Once ten families have pledged from your child’s grade, you'll be notified that the pledge is activated! Wait Until 8th will email you and the other parents who have signed from your child’s grade to connect you with each other. Take the pledge today!
Does your child already have a smart device? You are still encouraged to take the pledge! Wait Until 8th provides resources to help make your child's smart device safer and less addictive. Learn more at Wait Until 8th: Parental Controls.
Keep kids active and learning outside the classroom with ideas in the Let Grow kit.
