About Part 5
In part 5, I will aim to learn and record the chosen song, from part 4, on the mandolin. The song I have chosen to learn is "Losing My Religion" by REM. I have linked the song to the left, along with a good lesson video that I have found on YouTube. I will use this video as a reference to learn the song. I have also found a very good backing track where I can completely remove the mandolin and replace it with my own.
The Backing Track
I tend to use a site called "Karaoke Versions" whenever I want a backing track of some sort. This is because they allow you to download the tracks for the songs individually so I can put them into Logic. Luckily they had a backing track for this song song so I got it downloaded, put it into Logic and removed the mandolin so that I could do that bit myself. The backing track itself is of really high quality.
The orange track is the mandolin track that I have recorded myself.
The Finished Project
Here is the final video which includes the final song that I've recorded.
It shows where I was when I started, along with the progression I have made through all the entries.
