• For Louie’s early education, he was privately homeschooled by elite tutors funded by the Kim family. The curriculum included advanced STEM subjects (to support his magnetic abilities), underworld law, military ethics, global politics, and classical Korean literature

• In addition to his studies, he was trained in psychological strategy and battlefield decision-making, with lessons modeled after real-world espionage cases and black ops debriefs.

• In his early adolescence, Louie attended a clandestine combat academy under the Kim family’s authority, known only to elite underground families. Throughout those years, he mastered physical combat (taekwondo, krav maga, jiu-jitsu), weapons proficiency (firearms and blades), and stealth operations. In addition, he has specialized coursework in espionage, body language reading, resistance to torture, and “mental armor” against psychic and emotional manipulation. 

• Passing the internal family rite of passage exam at 17, he was officially recognized as a Corporal Enforcer.

• After graduation, Louie shadowed upper-echelon enforcers and war tacticians within the underworld to learn hierarchy structures and internal politics. He undertook private missions under aliases to gain field experience. 

• When Rosalie and Louie discovered they were in the same program, they decided to start their dynamic over as friends, but there was still sexual tension between them. Louie would flirt with her, address her by “Bunny” over social media direct messages, even push her buttons with small acts of intimacy (i.e, touch her cheek, brush hair out of her face, look at her with bedroom eyes). However, he never crossed her boundaries but took what he could get. When he learned about Nathaniel, he distanced himself. He viewed it as a sign that he didn’t deserve her, but he still loved her before he knew what love even was. 

• With Rosalie showing up to rent out the Airbnb that Louie owned, that was the first time Louie decided to stay on-site for that time. Normally, Louie would stay close to the city for work, but with Rosalie there on his property, he decided to stay and put his freelance work as a hacker for the dark web on hold. Giving her space and only showing up when she needed him, Louie decided to renovate the main house. He had called, who he considered his best friend, Trevor ‘Sin’ Sinclair, to help with the renovations. During this process, most of the interior was themed in pastel blue, since that was the color Louie associated with Rosalie. 

• After Kalmiya’s birth, Louie was the first to confess his feelings towards her. He didn’t know how to word it properly, but compared their relationship to that of the Master Chief and Cortana. With Louie taking the role of the Master Chief and Rosalie being his Cortana. At first, Rosalie didn’t know how to process his confession, but after tying up loose ends (i.e, telling Nathaniel about Kalmiya), Rosalie finally confessed her feelings a month later after an intense confrontation between Louie, Nathaniel, and Rosalie when Nathaniel came to verify that the Kalmiya was his child, in the end, Kalmiya was Louie's daughter.

• Their first date was at a hole-in-the-wall type of karaoke bar where they sang the song “The Game of Love” by Santana and Michelle Branch. Afterwards, they went back home and played video games together, mostly horror games.

• When Louie and Rosalie finally had sex again after so many years, Rosalie discovered her favorite intimate position with Louie was the cowgirl position since it gave her a sense of control. • Refusing to become her eternal pawn, Joon-woo fled, but his childhood home, the country he loved, despite the shadows that were hidden from civilians, was no longer an option. A doppelganger had taken his palace, a living replica ensuring he could never return without risking exposure. 

• Choosing freedom, he tracked down his estranged uncle Kim Minjun. Minjun offered him sanctuary in Washington State, where he ran a hidden safe haven disguised as a cafe. 

• Deciding to enroll in college, Joon-woo decided to change who he was and go by Louie Kim. Rebuilding his life, with Minjun’s help, he learned to live as a civilian. He forged new documents and began his new life as a college student. Though the transition was rough, he eventually excelled in Cybersecurity, becoming a top student and a TA by senior year. 

• During his senior year, he met Rosalie Atlas. Drawn to her beauty, the way she spoke about her passions with light in her eyes and a smile that sparkled like the stars, he wasted no time taking her home. It was unfortunate that he woke up in her bed alone, but it was surprising when he found out she was a student in the cybersecurity program.

• As much as he wanted to pursue a romantic dynamic with her, he watched her from afar, knowing that he didn’t want to taint her light with his darkness. As he watched her navigate her own life, he learned of her dynamic with the infamous Nathaniel Lee, a man Louie soon discovered was not as sweet as he appeared to be. However, Louie never interfered, never confessed. Instead, he quietly graduated and, just like the shadows he controlled, he disappeared again. 

• As the months passed, Louie relocated to Georgia, where he freelanced as a hacker on the web to fund a quieter dream. With his earnings, he purchased land and bought an estate that he planned to use for both living and renting out the guest house to travelers. Little did he know, one of those travelers was none other than Rosalie Atlas. 

• Rosalie, now pregnant and alone, his repressed feelings and instincts returned. He stayed silent about his past instead choosing to support her however he could. Louie went as far as to locate and summon her sister to help with childbirth. Being introduced to Kalmiya Iris Atlas-Lee, Louie was the one who nicknamed her “Kallie”. 

• After the birth of Kallie, and Rosalie having a year alone to spend with her, Louie began helping Rosalie control her electricity manipulation in addition to teaching her how to stand up for herself so she could never be hurt again.
