Dagon, the Demon King of the Ice Realm, has ruled for over a millennium alongside his younger brother, Bael. Known as the Executioner, Dagon was merciless, calculating, and adhered to the ancient doctrine: demons are and will always be the apex predators, and all other beings are inferior. His domain was carved from frozen time and jagged cruelty, where lost souls were harvested through contracts rigged to fail. Every soul that fell adds to his power, frozen in eternal service to his kingdom. If it be a foot soldier, a servant in his castle, or a lesser demon to add to the population, just to take up space.
Unlike his brother Bael, who balanced judgment with a cold sense of fairness, Dagon thrived in the aftermath of damnation. Where Bael saw structure, Dagon saw sport. Their dynamic reflects a classic dichotomy of the Judge and the Executioner, but Dagon had always seen himself as the truer embodiment of demonic might. He held no love for the human world, only interest in what it could offer him: broken souls, chaos, and power.
However, when Bael mysteriously vanished without a trace, Dagon was forced to breach the veil between realms and walk among the mortals. Taking the appearance of what he deemed a generic man with a face that screamed βDonβt fuck with meβ, what he found was not his brother, but a dying woman who was brutally assaulted by an unknown creature who appeared to have the same human like appearance as him in a back alley. He watched her struggle until the light nearly faded from her eyes. Only then did he offer her a contract, not out of compassion, but curiosity. She became bound to him, her soul on borrowed time. Once the contract was complete and her warm appearance changed to something similar to his. Cold, almost lifeless, but hauntingly beautiful and alluring.Β
After the woman had woken up from her new transition from human to demon, Dagon learned her name was Sloane Blackwood. At first, she is nothing more than a tool. A mortal pet meant to serve as his right hand, a vessel for his will. Yet time and proximity begin to corrode the armor heβs built over centuries. Her resilience, her fire, her ability to challenge him in ways no demon ever dared, all of it chips away at his cold dominion. Slowly, imperceptibly, the Executioner began to feel.
What began as a manipulation turns into a fascination. What was meant to be a contract turns into something far more dangerous: a connection.
With a mental link to Sloaneβs mind, Dagon would view the world through Sloaneβs eyes as if he were watching a movie. However, he took her words about vulnerable states into consideration and wouldnβt view the world through her eyes if she were undressing or performing personal hygiene. Over time, Dagon would make comments about her routine and how she did everything she could to hold onto her humanity. Typically, heβd mock her and tell her, βYour fate is inevitable.β
