We will be showcasing a variety of soft tissue mobilization tools used to support athletic recovery and performance. These include instruments designed for myofascial release, muscle stimulation, and targeted massage techniques. In addition, we will highlight essential emergency response equipment such as splints for injury stabilization and rectal thermometers, which are critical for accurate assessment in cases of exertional heat illness.Â
The Sports Medicine Student Program at Walton High School offers students a hands-on, immersive experience in the field of athletic healthcare. Designed for those interested in sports medicine, physical therapy, or related health sciences, the program provides opportunities to work directly with the school's athletic teams under the guidance of certified professionals. Students learn essential skills such as injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques, while also gaining exposure to real-world scenarios during practices and games.
