Inclusive Education In Higher Education: Challenges and Opportunity
Author: Anabel Moriña
As a student-teacher and advocate, my aspiration to become a teacher with my advocacy is further reinforced by my experiences. This research has helped me understand my decision to opt for inclusivity in education. It has broadened my perspective of the real-life challenges and lack of inclusivity in universities.
The study highlights the challenges of achieving inclusivity in higher education. Although inclusive education was first introduced for younger students, it is equally important in higher education, particularly as more students with disabilities are completing early schooling. The article discusses three aspects of inclusive practices in higher education: the experiences of students with disabilities, what the literature says about students with disabilities and faculty members. Universities can become more inclusive by implementing policies, strategies, processes, and actions that promote success among all students.
The researcher proposes changes in policies, strategies, processes, and actions to help all students succeed. To make the university more inclusive, it is essential to ensure that spaces are fully accessible, adhering to the universal design principle. Furthermore, students with disabilities should receive special attention during their first year, with proactive transition planning to prevent early departure and promote academic success. This could involve orientation sessions, tutorials, and support from faculty members familiar with disabilities.
From my perspective, I believe that faculty members must receive training not only in their respective disciplines but also ineffective teaching methods, especially for students with disabilities. It is vital to require all personnel to learn instructional and methodological strategies to address diverse needs. Sensitizing, informing, and training faculty in inclusive pedagogy and universal designs for learning is crucial. In conclusion, more is needed for universities to provide access. Policies and practices must be revised to ensure inclusive education, enabling all students to participate fully and benefit from quality teaching and learning.

Blended Learning - An Approach in Philippine Basic Education Curriculum in New Normal: A Review of Current Literature
Authors: Fernan Peniero Tupas, Marilyn Linas-Laguda
We are also researchers because we are student teachers. This reading experience is helping me learn new things. I remembered a time, like during the pandemic, when online learning was used in all school settings. This article or study will remind us of how important it is to use blended learning correctly, which is an essential part of learning in the 21st century.
The study says blended learning has been used in higher education for 30 years and has more promise than traditional teaching when planned well and computers and the Internet are used. It's used in medical, graduate, and elementary school English and science classes. The data show that students are more motivated when they learn in-person and online. Students learn from playing video games online and using their teachers' tools, like podcasts. This method helps students learn more than just basic skills; teachers must be trained. Also, mixed learning has effects worldwide, despite some problems. It lets students go at their own pace and get to things. It's been around for a while in the Philippines, mostly in big towns, but there needs to be more proof that it works. The Department of Education (DepEd) suggests a mixed method that includes online, modular, radio-television, face-to-face, and para-teachers. Common problems are needing more time or money. DepEd plans to hire para-teachers for mixed learning because of the pandemic. This will be harder because they will need more time and training.
This study suggests how blended learning can be used all over the islands. I also agree that this needs to be well-planned and that teachers should always undergo training. The government should put more money into making the most of technology in schools and homes.

Powerful Classroom Management strategies
Author: Paul R. Burden
Motivating students to learn is a crucial aspect of education. Educators are responsible for designing effective strategies that encourage and inspire students to engage in the learning process. A comprehensive coverage of motivating students is essential to create an environment conducive to learning.
One key element in motivating students is creating a sense of relevance. Students are more likely to be engaged and motivated When they understand how the material being taught relates to their lives. Teachers can achieve this by providing real-world examples, connecting concepts to current events, or allowing students to choose topics that interest them. Another critical factor in motivating students is fostering a positive classroom environment. Students thrive when they feel supported, respected, and valued by their teachers and peers. Encouraging collaboration, providing constructive feedback, and recognizing individual achievements effectively promote a positive classroom culture.
Furthermore, incorporating technology into lessons can significantly enhance student motivation. Utilizing interactive multimedia resources, online platforms for discussion and collaboration, or educational apps can make learning more engaging and enjoyable for students. In conclusion, motivating students to learn requires a comprehensive approach that considers various factors such as relevance, positive classroom environment, and the use of technology. By implementing these strategies effectively, educators can create an atmosphere where students are motivated and eager to learn

"An Urgency of Teachers: The Work of Critical Digital Pedagogy "
Author: Jesse Stommel and Sean Michael Morris
After reading this book, I better understand the significance of incorporating technology into education. Because we currently reside in a digital age, this book highlights that it is preferable for the changes in teaching to be modified to stay up with the times. Educators will have an easier time imparting their knowledge to students if they use technology in the classroom. Additionally, students will be more interested in studying if teachers develop and use creative teaching tactics. Plus, it is essential to educate students about educational technology because having this knowledge is of great assistance in ensuring that students can comprehend the appropriate utilization of technology, devices, or gadgets, as well as the significance of educational technology inside the classroom. The learners can apply what they have learned here to their future careers. There is knowledge contained within this book that teaches readers not to be afraid of change.
Moreover, we need to modify or develop new approaches, procedures, and resources to accomplish the pupils' educational objectives. To be effective educators, we must embrace and use technology. The use of PowerPoint presentations, the incorporation of visuals and video clips, and the utilization of various instructional methods are all examples of strategies that can be implemented in the classroom to facilitate students' comprehension of the material. In addition to being an efficient method of instruction, using digital pedagogy makes it possible to get the most favorable results for efficient learning.
