(Course required for all Grade 6 students)
PE 6 introduces students to health-related fitness components, dance, team sports, and lifetime activities. Students learn the essential principles to live a healthy, active lifestyle. The lessons give students exposure to many activities that can be incorporated into their daily lives today, tomorrow, and in the future.

(Course required for all Grade 6 students)
In Health 6 students learn strategies and tools for good health throughout their lives. They learn how various systems of their bodies function, how to make good nutrition and exercise choices, and how to prevent certain illnesses. Students are exposed to ways to keep themselves and their families safe at home and in emergency situations. They also learn ways to maintain a positive self-concept and healthy relationships with others.
OTH07D Physical Fitness 7 VA
(Course required for all Grade 7 students)
PE 7 exposes students to activities and concepts that will diversify their knowledge of physical fitness. Beginning with the basic components of fitness, this course navigates through a variety of topics that focus on multiple means of physical health as it applies to strength training (and safety), aerobic exercises and motor skills. The content this course offers will encourage students to create goals that will benefit their overall health by providing activities that can be done outside of the classroom beyond their middle school years.
HLT07DE3 Health 7
(Course required for all Grade 7 students)
This course is designed to teach lifetime health and wellness knowledge to prevent various psychological and physical disorders. Students will learn health information and practices, as well as experience implementing their newfound skills and knowledge. They will acquire the skills necessary to handle peer pressure, recognize unhealthy and risky behaviors and how to prevent and avoid them, and develop strategies for improving personal and community health.

(Course required for all Grade 8 students)
PE 8 is designed to encourage students to recognize the many advantages of prioritizing physical health. Beginning with the basic fundamentals, students will be exposed to activities that enhance cardiovascular health and motor skills, while understanding the benefits of implementing personal fitness goals. This course offers exposure to a variety of exercises to inspire students to continue to enhance their overall health.

(Course required for all Grade 8 students)
Health 8 helps students develop the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy decisions to stay active, safe, and informed as teenagers and as adults. The lessons and activities introduce important aspects of the main types of health: emotional and mental health, social health and wellness, and physical health.
