Project 1A

brief

This project explores the intersection of research, knowledge sharing, and individual bodily-conscious design through a poetic and experimental approach. Inspired by native culture-informed contemporary dances, the design process emphasizes observing and documenting choreographic movements using ethnographic drawings, including plan and elevation mapping. The aim is to translate the meanings of dance into a form-making process, culminating in a flagship construct that is bodily-conscious, affective, and expressive.

The final outcome embodies a creative flagship idea and fosters site-specific dialogues. A carefully determined scale is applied to ensure coherence across project phases, reflecting a harmonious interplay between scales.
