self reflection

In my third project for Architectural Design I and design communication, I embarked on the re-design and development of models from my first project, focusing on geometry and form. The narrative guiding this design journey revolves around taking the first step out of the comfort zone.

The odyssey of my design commences in darkness, where cold concrete intensifies loneliness, yet a guiding allure emerges, offering direction. Ascending steel stairs and resting areas strategically break unease, providing comfort for contemplation. Delving deeper transforms solitude into a captivating journey, where concrete and steel harmonize, invoking tranquility. Further exploration reveals shadows with an omniscient perspective—a revelation bathing the space in beauty and calm, liberating freedom. This crafted journey transcends physical exploration, guiding emotions to serenity.

Born from this narrative is "Ethereal Vista," the name of my design, signifying a perspective that is delicate, heavenly, and otherworldly. "Ethereal" captures the essence of something light, airy, and celestial, while "Vista" implies a scenic and sublime outlook.

Through this design, I aim to convey that taking a different first step is a universal experience in life, paralleling the journey of this project. The emotional spectrum I encountered during this final project ranged from happiness to negativity. However, I am immensely grateful for the support and care I received from those around me, ultimately surrounding me with positivity.

Despite the challenges this project posed, I am thankful for the opportunity to finish it alongside my friends, developing new skills and experiencing personal growth.
