the details
Volunteering at the Domestic Violence Clinic is a fantastic learning opportunity. At the Clinic, law student volunteers have the chance to develop critical legal skills and network with other law students and attorneys.
Volunteers will get significant client contact as well as hands-on legal experience preparing various legal documents.
Law student volunteers assist with the client intake process, drafting of petitions, and drafting responses.
The clinic prepares Domestic Violence petitions, civil harassment petitions, and elder abuse petitions.
Scheduling
Law student volunteers are encouraged to sign up for one shift that they can commit to every week of the semester.
If you need to miss a shift because of a school committment, or emergency, let the staff attorney know. The current staff attorney is Daniel Laguna, his email is DanielL@lassd.org.
