Minh Hieu Vu is a 2L at the University of San Diego School of Law. Raised in east San Jose, CA, Ms. Vu is the first person in her family to attend law school. She graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science. At UCSD, Ms. Vu served as an elected Senator and was later appointed to be the Associate Vice President of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Associated Students where she secured the largest operating budget for the office in its history. Ms. Vu’s commitment to public service led her to Teach for America-Bay Area after graduation, where she taught 4th and 5th grade at L.U.C.H.A. Elementary School in her hometown.
As a future lawyer, Ms. Vu envisions working with communities and advocates to end extreme poverty. Ms. Vu’s favorite aspect of pro bono work is meeting new people in the San Diego community, hearing their stories, and working in partnership with organizations such as the Legal Aid Society to provide excellent legal services.
Ms. Vu enjoys reading mystery novels in her free time.
