Hi! I am Kyle Rudolph, a rising 2L and the University of San Diego School of Law Pro Bono Legal Advocates (PBLA) Unlawful Detainer Chair. I am glad that you have chosen to inquire, or even better yet, participate in our school's wonderful PBLA program. As a 1L, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the PBLA Unlawful Detainer Clinic, in which I assisted indigent members of the San Diego community navigate evictions, restraining orders, and name changes. Beyond gaining invaluable legal experience, the overall satisfaction of aiding clinic participants in need of dire legal assistance was the most rewarding part of the program. The clinic participants are often navigating stressful situations, and being able to ease the navigation process can make the world of a difference for those participants. For anyone considering volunteering as part of the University of San Diego School of Law PBLA program, you should definitely go for it!
Outside of law school, I enjoy training for triathlons, hitting the surf, or doing pretty much anything outdoors with my lovely and beautiful wife. I am also a student veteran and current Navy Reservist. While law school is often quite demanding, always make time for the ones and things you love--it will make the world of a difference.
If you ever have any questions about the PBLA Unlawful Detainer Clinic, law school in general, or just want to chat, feel free to email me at krudolph@sandiego.edu.
I hope to see you in one of the PBLA clinics during the 2020-21 academic year!
