Natalie Castro is a 3L at the University of San Diego School of Law. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Natalie is the first person in her family to attend college and law school. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a B.A. in Political Science in 2011. Before attending law school, Natalie worked as a Senior Paralegal for a boutique civil litigation firm in San Diego.
Natalie’s dedication to public service began in college and has continued up to, and during, law school. She currently volunteers with the Juvenile Court Book Club (JCBC), a non-profit organization that gathers with wards of the court to read and discuss a wide range of literature. She also provides tutoring services at the Girls Rehabilitation Facility through the JCBC.
As a law student, Natalie has interned at the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office and at the Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. Natalie is dedicated to public service, and hopes to embark on a legal career that incorporates her passion and commitment to helping those who need it most. In her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family and snowboarding.
