Be prepared for roles in educational nonprofits, early childhood programs, community-based services, and family support agencies
Understand topics like child development, educational equity, working with families under stress, and supporting multilingual learners

These are the General Education courses required for the B.A. in Applied Educational Studies.Many of these may transfer in from your previous coursework.Your Advisor will review your transcripts, determine what still needs to be completed, and walk you through your options for fulfilling each requirement.
These next courses form the foundation of your AES degree, focusing on topics such as equitable classroom practices and child development. This stage of the program also typically includes the beginning of formal Field Experience, offering structured opportunities to connect coursework with practice.
The final courses in your Applied Educational Studies program focus on deepening your understanding of early development, responsive caregiving, and family partnerships.This last phase includes a 150-hour Internship in an approved setting, giving you valuable hands-on experience.You’re nearing the finish line! Once you complete the program, you’ll be prepared to pursue meaningful careers in education-related fields beyond the traditional classroom.
