What does Commencement/graduation mean to you?

I will be first generation to graduate here in the United States. It been a hard two years and I am happy to make my family proud. I believe that if you have the power to do it then do it. 

Did you have to overcome any difficult challenges during your education to make it to graduation? If so, what were they?

I did, I am a mother of a young boy. It was hard to find someone to watch him. Another challenge was to lose an hour of work to do my student teaching. 

What has your experience at NLU been like?

NLU been a great school. I learned a lot these past years. I am happy to been in this school. 

What are your plans for the future?

Be a preschool teacher. I am getting my master's degree once I graduated. I will like to be able to change the education one day.
