What does Commencement/graduation mean to you?

Graduation is a huge accomplishment for me, teaching has always been my goal in life and I am excited to finally be able to pursue that dream! 

Did you have to overcome any difficult challenges during your education to make it to graduation? If so, what were they?

During my educational journey I had to overcome a few obstacles including working full time, enduring my first pregnancy and most recently becoming a first time mom while finishing my last two terms here at NLU! 

What has your experience at NLU been like?

Absolutely wonderful! I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience at NLU, I have highly recommended the education program to various people. Everyone at NLU has been supportive and willing to go above and beyond to help me succeed in my education. 

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future include raising my beautiful baby girl and becoming a Pre-K teacher within the Collinsville School District in August 2024. I look forward to making a difference in the lives of my students and facilitating a lifelong love of learning.
