What does Commencement/graduation mean to you?

This means the first step to my dream career and the first step to my professional experience. It is a way to celebrate all of my accomplishments and to prove that Hispanics are capable of this and many more. 

Did you have to overcome any difficult challenges during your education to make it to graduation? If so, what were they?

Growing up in a Hispanic household, we always believed college is expensive and impossible because of our low income. A difficult challenge I had to overcome thought out my college experience is figuring out by myself applying to more than 2 scholarships to pay for my schooling. 

What has your experience at NLU been like?

My experience has been great at NLU, which motivates me to completing my Masters here at NLU. The support from the precessions has been the most essential to completing this first step in my professional experience. 

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future is to continue my first job as a 1sr grade teacher  at the job offer I recently received. However, I want to return to NLU and get my Masters.
