What else do I do with my dogs?
press to view the informationEverything you would do with a real dog. You can raise them, train them, take them to shows and events, breed them, and even buy and sell them.
Some people go to extremes and create, let's say, an inadequate environment for their dog, which causes the dog to suffer. We do not recommend this, but if it is for the purpose of RP and it is not extreme and it ends well for the dog as a backstory, then make sure it does end well. If you are a person, who likes to try out randomisers, you might want to take a look here: RNG Rolls
For example, let's say your dog is injured on a hunt, is rehabilitated, and is soon on the mend. If you want to keep it as realistic as possible, feel free to do so.
If it's a real breed, just draw the reference picture for it. The only thing we recommend is that you make sure the dog is up to standard, anatomically well-built and physically and mentally healthy.
If it's a created breed (yes, you can actually create or get a breed), make sure the original creator of the breed is okay with you making or buying one.
Have fun! You should draw a reference picture of your dog, think well about its name, breed, age, colour and other important things, and play with it. You can find it under any ref of any dog already registered in the group folders.
Sport or show - you can try both. Not up for anything serious like competitions? You can just quietly draw and play with your virtual pet. Each drawing gives your pet an experience, which you can count in points under its reference, and then see which level your dog is in when you've collected enough.
Titles
Titles are the awards that your dog has received after some effort shown in the picture during some event, show or performance.
To make it simple, we generally think of titles in terms of sport. But they can also be show titles.
How do I link titles?
press to view the informationAs we have 2 main categories "conformation" and "performance", these are roughly divided into CACIBs and CACITs, which stand for "beauty" and "work" respectively.
If you have to fill in the "titles" form, you have to link the titles you've linked, either by linking them directly in the form or by leaving them on the reference.
You should not link "collective" titles if you have the highest title: WB, CK, BOB, CACIB if you already have BIS/RBIS derived from these titles. As well as WB, CK, BOB, CACIB.
Please do not mix the titles, e.g. put conformation and performance titles on the same line. There will only be one category associated with them according to the part of the show you are applying for.
Awards and Titles
press to view the informationShows and sports are being judged according to the special scoring like here:Shows Scoring/Matrix
According to the placings, your dog receives special show titles: Conformation Show Titles
And awards you then may use to put in your drawing. UaKU offers various amounts of cups and ribbons according to the placings given.
Shows/Conformation
press to view the informationAlso known as conformation, CACIB shows. Simply put, these are events where you show off the beauty of your dog. To do this, you'll need to consult its standard, perhaps watch a few videos of conformation shows and choose the show you want to enter.
You can check what UaKU shows are here: Group
For UaKU it is not obligatory to show the dog straight looking to one side. You can be original and use imagination as it may bring you extra points.
You can even add a handler, which will bring you even more points to the final score.
The entry for such a show should look like this:
UaKu Days at the show

(conformation part, where you show the exterior of your dog, basically like here: link)Only if you want to show off your dog's beauty. You can look at other people's entries to see how it is done.
Simple: a well-groomed dog according to its breed standard in a show stack with a lead
Day 2 CACIT
(Performance/Sport section, where your dog is to do any kind of sport from the list of sports disciplines: link)Very simple: You choose the discipline, look up what dogs do in that sport for references and present it
Day 3
Quest with the ball (may be added to some shows)

Just as like and the conformation shows, sport, CACIT, shows have their own titles, placings, awards and scoring. For UaKU, we use all the same scoring.

It really is up to you. As we said, some people go for realism and try to make it as realistic as possible. Some people just enjoy having to rp the pixel doggo.
We know that every artist has their own style, but during the shows, we'd recommend that you try to draw as realistically as your style allows. Admins don't find it fun to guess the dog's anatomy or colour.
For sure! We highly recommend it for you to practice and develop your artistic skills! But make sure you don't do any tracing, as it's forbidden in the group, and link to the original photos for copyright reasons. You ay read about art rules here: General Art Rules
