Building the Foundation for QMS AI

2023-06-06

A digital quality management system (QMS) has many advantages for manufacturers of drugs, biologics, and medical devices, where data can be scattered across a variety of sources and in need of streamlining. Migrating data using artificial intelligence (AI) can improve compliance, increase efficiency, enhance decision-making processes, and lead to greater collaboration among company stakeholders.

This webinar will show you how to implement an automated QMS into your life sciences business.

Dot Compliance experts will walk through the steps for going from paper-based to automated quality processes. They will also provide insights on how to build a digital transformation strategy that will take life science quality data beyond today's analytics and into tomorrow's generative and predictive AI.

They will explain how generative AI helps manufacturers identify and resolve compliance issues, reduce the time and resources required to manage quality processes, notice patterns and trends in data, and ensure that information is being shared effectively on a central platform.

Webinar Takeaways:

• Learn how to transition from paper-based processes to an automated QMS

• Discover the advantages of cloud-based technology

• Identify the steps from automation through digital to AI

• Know the benefits and risks of generative AI and predictive AI in a QMS

You've Completed your Root Cause Analysis, Now What?

2023-05-02

Root cause analysis (RCA) is a vital technique for finding and resolving problems that arise in quality systems.

RCA goes beyond straightforward cause and effect linkages, which help identify a process or system's weak areas. Whenever organizations tackle problems and generate solutions based out of root cause analysis, they tend to generate a lot of data and unexplored information. That's why when root cause analysis is done right, businesses can not only uncover numerous future problems, but also discover their potential solutions.

The bigger question is what happens once an RCA is done? Does the output end here or is there a better way to utilize the data and information generated during the analysis? Can the RCA help us recognize a different approach if the problem continues? Do we safeguard future audit failures, saving cost and time, etc.

In this webinar we will discuss how you can do more than with your RCA process to safeguard and grow your business confidently.

Key takeaways were as follows:

The Importance of the Risk Assessment

2023-04-04

At times, risk cannot be eliminated; it can only be managed. Risk management helps organizations optimize workflows to quickly and effectively identify and mitigate potential areas of pitfalls. As a result, organizations that manage risk at all supply chain levels and actively embed risk management throughout their processes are better positioned to address these events as they arise. These companies have shown promising outputs, ranging from passing audits, gaining attestation/certifications quicker, reducing expenditures and increasing revenue.

The objective of this webinar is to discuss the importance of risk assessment as it relates to the QMS standard, ISO 9001:2015.

IATF 16949 Update – ASPICE, Functional Safety

2023-03-30

There were changes on the software side that many IATF 16949 organizations experienced, mainly the advent of ASPICE for software. Use of a “process standard” for embedded software is a requirement of IATF 16949 2019 and 2020 saw OEMs require ASPICE of their software suppliers. This requirement will only intensify in the industry. The VDA PPAP went through a change now requiring software as a part of the PPAP requirement. European OEMs are now requiring TISAX, a Cybersecurity Management System aligned with ISO 27001.

Key Takeaways

Fact or Fiction? The shifting sands of assurance.

2023-02-08

In this event for the CQI Wales Branch, Alexander Woods, CQI Policy Manager, will lead an interactive session where we will attempt to unpick some of the key questions facing quality assurance, how seriously, or otherwise, they are being considered by your organisation, and priorities for providing assurance in an ever-changing world.

Organisations must have effective systems of governance, assurance, and improvement to sustain delivery of high-quality products and services, meeting the needs and expectations of their interested parties. This is the basis on which the CQI’s Competence Framework is build.

In a world experiencing rapid advances in technology, shifting consumer values and expectations, and a turbulent political and economic environment, how do organisations continue to provide assurance to their interested parties? Does the progress of digital technology require entirely new approaches to assurance, is the status quo being fundamentally challenged, do organisations have to rethink how and who they consider as “customer”? Or does these shifting sands represent an unwelcome distraction to the core and well-established “norms” of quality assurance?

In this event for the CQI Wales Branch, Alexander Woods, CQI Policy Manager, will lead an interactive session where we will attempt to unpick some of the key questions facing quality assurance, how seriously, or otherwise, they are being considered by your organisation, and priorities for providing assurance in an ever-changing world.

About the Speaker:

Alexander Woods - Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) Policy Manager

Alexander Woods is Policy Manager for the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), responsible for developing CQI’s research and development, advocacy and stakeholder engagement, and standards development programmes. As well as supporting the CQI’s research to understand “Quality 4.0”, he has been leading a project to examine assurance in a digitally-transformed world of work.

Quality Data Harmonization with PwC and ETQ: How accurate quality data from integrated quality management drives continuous improvement and ROI

2023-02-01

Industry specialists from PwC and ETQ present the importance of accurate, integrated quality data. Siloed or inaccurate data with no clear indication of what's important results in an inability to discover critical trends and insights. Without this visibility into manufacturing data, organizations are unable to make informed decisions which leads to higher initial costs, increased scrap, rework and warranty costs and delayed revenue, thanks to a hamstrung new product introduction process.

By monitoring accurate quality data from all key sources including QMS, MES, ERP, and CRM systems, and understanding data patterns and trends, you can turn data into information and information into intelligence. Harmonized data gives leaders the information they need to make timely, proactive decisions that reduce risk and cost.
