Our Internship Program is a great opportunity to learn more about Italian culture and to interact with local communities choosing among a variety of professional fields through unique hands-on work experiences.
Being an intern in Rome can be a great way to strengthen your personal skills and acquire new ones, expanding your comfort zone and exploring the local culture in an experiential way.
Through our Internship positions you will be able to engage with the social environment around you, improve your language skills and expand your network not only pursuing your professional goals, but also supporting your personal growth.
The staff of the Internship Program will provide tailor-made advising starting from Orientation week to support you while you choose your field of interest and will be available for the whole semester through the Internship Seminar and one-on-one sessions.
The Internship Seminar is not only a great support tool offered to prepare you on how to navigate the city, interact with locals and adjust to a new work environment, but it also gives you the opportunity to reflect on your experience as well as other interns’ experiences and benefit from peers interaction.

Internships are available to students at all levels of Italian language; some positions may have language requirements, and might be limited to students who have intermediate or higher level of Italian.

Internships are unpaid and earn academic credit, and will be taken in conjunction with an Internship Seminar where you will have the chance to share your experience and learn more about Italian culture and intercultural communication (1 Trinity credit = 3.5 semester hours).

Internships require an average weekly commitment up to 10 hours; up to 100 hours over the semester.
While the Rome Campus does everything possible to place interested students in an internship, placements are not guaranteed and may vary according to sponsor availability.

Before departure -> Register for the internship seminar during course registration week.
Before departure -> Learn more about our positions and fill in a questionnaire to get in touch with the Internship Program staff.
Upon arrival -> Attend dedicated meetings during orientation week to start the application process.
After orientation week -> Discuss your goals and interests with our staff.
When classes start -> Meet with one or more of our Internship Sponsors, start attending the Internship seminar and complete the paperwork when there’s a match.

Elementary, Middle and High Schools - Experiential lab for cultural norms; exposure to different ways to approach inclusiveness in Italian schools; interaction/connection with local students; human, anthropological, sociological approach to collectivity.
The British School at Rome - Planning and advertising events; promotion of British culture in Italy; academic environment; network building.

Cooking Classes in Rome - Hands on; people skills; sustainability; promotion of Italian culinary culture/products.
Gelateria Fiordiluna - Local, small scale production; natural products; peer connection; promotion of Italian ice cream culture.
Ristorante “Al Callarello” - Family run Italian Restaurant; immersion in local Food culture; Multicultural environment.

Fondazione Teatro Palladium - Performing arts/theater; university connection; promoting creativity and youth artistic involvement; peer exchange (young staff, university students); cultural events.

Griot - Independent bookstore; multicultural and cross-cultural context: focus on Middle-East and Africa; social engagement and human rights; Afro-Italian community.
Libera - Anti-mafia activism; social and civil engagement (renovation and environmental improvement of urban areas, sustainability, youth engagement); human rights; local and international involvement (knowledge of Italian and of another language is preferred); work with international associations; NGO; interaction with marginalized groups and spaces.

SS Lazio Football - Local team reception of American Football; hands-on experience; interaction with the team and the staff; exposure to local sport culture.
