BEFORE YOU GO TO-DO LIST ITEMS
All courses offered on the Trinity Rome Campus are Trinity courses.
Rome Campus courses have been approved by the Curriculum Committee at Trinity.
For MAJOR credit, you must receive approval from your respective major department.
For MINOR credit, you must receive approval from your respective minor department.
For GENERAL EDUCTION requirements, you must receive approval from the Registrar's office.
You should check with your major and minor departments to see how many courses you can take in Rome for your major.
You do not need to fill out the course approval form, but should receive the appropriate approvals/okay to ensure you are taking courses that work for major/minor/academic track.
Pass/Low Pass/Fail Policy: The Trinity Hartford Campus Pass/Low Pass/Fail policy applies to students in Rome. Click here to review the policy. You MUST take courses abroad for a letter grade. The Registrar's Office will convert your letter grade to Pass/Low Pass/Fail. The process to convert a course to Pass/Low Pass/ Fail is outlined in Trinity's academic policies.
The required language course is not eligible to be taken Pass/Low Pass/Fail.
You should check with your school's Registrar and Academic Advisor regarding the process and policies to transfer grades from abroad as well as how many courses you are required to take at the Rome Campus.
Please note that 1 Trinity course credit = 3.5 semester hours. You need to check with your study abroad office and Registrar's Office to see how many courses you will need to take in Rome to fulfill the minimum amount of credits you need per semester at your home institution. For Example: If your school is on a 4-credit system (meaning each course is worth 4 credits) you will need to take 5 courses in Rome to transfer back a full course load to your home institution.
Pass/Fail Policy: You must receive a letter grade for all your courses in Rome. If you are interested in taking a course pass/fail you will need to work with your home school and follow their pass/fail policies.

It is your responsibility to understand and adhere to these policies. Please be sure to read and understand this section thoroughly.
Both Trinity and visiting students should bring all course materials from abroad back home with you until your credit is posted accordingly. This includes reading lists, syllabi assignments, tests, papers and exams. These may be necessary if there are any questions about credit transfer or the work that you did abroad.
Once students have completed the program, grades are sent from Rome to the Hartford Campus no later than two weeks after the program ends. Once the grades are received they are entered into the TCOnline and will appear on your transcript.
For visiting students transcripts will be sent to your home institution. Transcripts are sent to the person/department you listed in your Rome Campus application. This can take up to a month after the program ends for your transcripts to be sent to your home institution.
All grades and courses taken on the Rome Campus will appear on your transcript.
