VIP RS3200 Plus (2000-Present)

As of 2021, the Sienna, Prius, Tacoma and Tundra have an optional VIP RS3200 Plus accessory kit (now it's called the "Security System").

There were a few factors that determined whether vehicles got the standard VIP RS3200, the VIP RS3200 Plus, or the VIP GBS accessory:

• If the vehicle did not come from the factory with keyless entry, then the standard VIP RS3200 could be installed at the port or the dealer.  

• If the vehicle came with factory keyless entry, then it could be upgraded with the VIP RS3200 Plus.

• If the vehicle came with a factory theft deterrent system, then it could be upgraded with the VIP Glass Breakage Sensor.

If the sticker(s) have been peeled off by a previous owner, there is one common interior feature that will confirm that you have the VIP RS3200 Plus:

Unlike the previous VIP systems, the RS3200 Plus doesn't have it's own remote fob, since it integrates with the factory keyless entry system.

Some vehicle models have the TDS functions integrated into the body ECU; in those models, security is enabled or disabled simply through Techstream, since the body ECU is shared across multiple trims. The V5 security kit for such models includes only the GBS module and instructions to enable security through Techstream. No dedicated security ECU is included as is the case for most other models.
