These two systems are a bit rare, as not too many vehicles were equipped with these options. They were offered from 1996 to 1998.
There are a couple of different configurations available with these systems:
The VIP S1000 security system can be installed by itself, acting as a passively-armed alarm system controlled by the ignition. (Eg. 1997 Toyota Corolla)
The VIP Keyless Entry System can be installed by itself, acting as a standalone keyless entry system with no security functions whatsoever. (Eg. 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser)
The VIP Keyless Entry System can be installed to work with an existing factory TDS (Theft Deterrent System). (Eg. 1998 Toyota Supra)
The VIP S1000 security system and VIP Keyless Entry System can be paired with each other to work as a remotely-controlled VIP S1000 security system. (Eg. 1996 Toyota 4Runner)
Since this topic is already very confusing, I have divided this into two subsections so that we don't mix up the VIP S1000 and VIP Keyless Entry System.
