Identifying the alignment between the organization's goals, the people, and culture of change is important before implementing a new learning technology (Conway, Masters, & Thorold, 2017). A clear understanding of the organizational goals will support these changes when they align with a vision that is already respected and ingrained in the environment. Understanding an organization's “cultural norms and patterns of behaviour as well as the interplay between actors in a system sheds new light on ways to address complex challenges” (Conway et al., 2017, p. 17). Once the alignment has been identified with thorough research on past practices, this will serve as a basis of what to expect. This initial step of goals identification and culture of change, should be an agreed consensus amongst your team.
