A*STAR SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING INSTITUTES

Background information of the organisation:

The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is an organisation dedicated to its mission of research, which aims to further advance existing science and technology. A*STAR also aims to be "A global leader in science, technology and open innovation", setting this as their vision as an organisation. The agency is made up of numerous different institutes, each specialising on separate fields of research, and together, the institutes drive A*STAR closer to its goals of spearheading scientific and technological innovation, knowledge and discovery.

We were privileged to be able to work with the Science and Engineering Institutes (SCEI). SCEI comprises of many individual institutes, examples including Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) and the Institute of Microelectronics (IME). Together, these institutes all form the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), which commits to research and development in a plethora of fields, comprising of and not limited to communications, computer sciences, data storage and microelectronics. The Science and Engineering Institutes are equipped with state of the art equipment and facilities with the core competencies to solve existing technological challenges and pave the roads for revolutionary industries of tomorrow.
