Sinopse

A matéria dos três workshops que reuniram um conjunto de estudantes e professoras da Licenciatura em Artes Visuais e Tecnologias da Escola Superior de Educação do Politécnico de Lisboa, foi o registo áudio de memórias e vivências do quotidiano prévio à Revolução de Abril de 1974, constituido em diversas freguesias do Concelho de Santiago do Cacém (recolha feita por Luís Cruz).

Do conjunto de memórias gravadas, optou por escolher-se o conjunto das que no feminino versavam o universo da Escola.   

O resultado da investigação artística sobre estes testemunhos é a peça de fotografia instalativa site specific  "Ir à Escola", interpelando-nos acerca das desigualdades entre homens e mulheres, ricos e pobres, no acesso à educação e apresentada no Periferias 2024 - 13º Festival Internacional de Artes Performativas, na Exposição "Mulheres e Territórios de Resistência". 

Synopsis

The substance of the three workshops that brought together a group of students and teachers from the Visual Arts and Technology B.A. at the Lisbon's Polytechnic University School of Education, was the audio recording of memories and daily life experiences prior to the 1974 April Revolution in various territories in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém (collated by Luís Cruz).

 From the range of memories recorded, a choice was made to select the female ones, that dealt with the school universe. 

The result of the artistic research into these testimonies is the site-specific installation photography piece "Going to School", which questions the inequalities between men and women, rich and poor, in access to education and was presented at Periferias 2024 - 13th International Festival of Performing Arts, in the exhibition "Women and Territories of Resistance".
