Entrelaçar, coser, tecer, bordar, rasgar, remendar, são operações que não se cingem a mera tecnicidade, mas assumem sentidos simbólicos, desde logo a ligação a um trabalho feminino e não raras vezes socialmente invisível.

A exposição itinerante Objetos Texteis com Memórias reúne um conjunto de objetos realizados durante o ano letivo de 2024. Através da plasticidade do têxtil, evocam-se memórias individuais ou coletivas.

Assumindo uma dimensão primeiramente experimental, procurando explorar as características e potencialidades estéticas das matérias e das técnicas têxteis, os objetos e instalações agora apresentados resultaram de um processo criativo

alargado, que envolveu numa pesquisa acerca do conceito de memoria estudantes das licenciaturas em Artes Visuais e Tecnologias da Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa e Animação Sociocultural da Escola Superior de Educação de Setúbal.

Interweaving, sewing, weaving, embroidering, tearing, mending, are operations which are not limited to a mere technicality, but take on symbolic meanings, first and foremost the link to feminine and often socially invisible work.

The traveling exhibition Objetos Texteis com Memórias (Textile Objects with Memories) brings together a set of objects made during the 2024 school year. Through the plasticity of textiles, individual or collective memories are evoked.

Taking on a primarily experimental dimension, seeking to explore the characteristics and aesthetic potential of textile materials and techniques, the objects and installations presented here were the result of an extensive creative process, which involved research into the concept of memory by students from the Visual Arts and Technology B. A. courses at the Lisbon School of Education and the Sociocultural Animation B. A. course at the Setúbal School of Education.
