Essentials for Job Training I & II (WBL)   

Power Essential 1: Students will be able to demonstrate employability skills in work settings.

5. I can demonstrate appropriate hygiene and grooming.

6. I understand the importance of being at work every day.

7. I can follow directions at work.

Power Essential 2: Students will be able to communicate on the job site.

1. I can greet co-workers.

2. I can ask for help.

3. I can demonstrate appropriate conversational topics.

4. I can communicate problems to my co-workers and/or employer.

5. I can express thankfulness to my co-workers and employer.

Power Essential 3: Students will be able to complete a job application form

1. I understand job application terms

2. I can list the parts of a job application

3. I can identify the proper format to use when completing a job application

4. I can independently complete a job application

Power Essential 4: Students will be able to participate in a job interview

1. I can state how to prepare for an interview 

2. I can demonstrate how to dress for a job interview 

3. I can answer common interview questions

4. I can demonstrate the follow-up process after an interview (thank you note, phone call)
