Hi girls!
I hope you made the most of the bank holiday by getting out into the sun. I am missing you all but I am hoping you are having lots of fun at home with your families. Here are some activities below to work on. Don't forget, if you need help with any of the work below, make sure to send me an email. My email is jhowlett@ursulineps.ie
Remember girls that keeping up with reading is so important while we are at home. Whatever you choose to read, try to include 15 or 20 mins at least of reading every day! Keep reading out loud and ask somebody at home to ask you questions on what you are reading.
I'm going to put up the links again to the two free online reading schemes for those of you who may not have signed up already. If you have already signed up, well done and keep reading!
For the Capstone set of readers, once you click into it,

Let's Brainstorm!
This week, I want us to focus on 'ur' words. How many words can you think of with the sound ur in it?
Can you make some sentences with these 'ur' words in your copy or saying it out loud to someone. Try to make your sentences interesting by adding descriptive words. Remember to use your dictionary to look up any words that you do not understand. The 'ur' words below can help you.
If you would like to practice this sound even more, here are some worksheets:
Let's practice some dividing this week girls! If any of you need some reminding of how to divide, have a look at Ms. Kealy's video to help you along. You can find this in Week 4: video 1 or you can send me an email if you are stuck.
Use your skip counting to help you along! The sums in red you may need to think about a little bit harder.
Things to think about when trying a Maths word problem:
What is the problem about?
What is the problem asking?
What is the best way to solve this?
What kind of sum should I do? + - x
Does my answer make sense?
Did I check I did my sum?
