Hi girls!
I hope you had another lovely week and that you all enjoyed your weekend. I'm sure you've got up to some really fun activities in the sun. Remember if you need help with any of the work below, make sure to send me an email. My email is jhowlett@ursulineps.ie
Remember girls that keeping up with reading is so important while we are at home. I am enjoying reading lots of books too out in my garden at home. Whatever you choose to read, try to include 15 or 20 mins at least of reading every day! Keep reading out loud and ask somebody at home to ask you questions on what you are reading.
I'm going to put up the links again to the two free online reading schemes for those of you who may not have signed up already. If you have already signed up, well done and keep reading!
For the Capstone set of readers, once you click into it,

Let's Brainstorm!
This week, I want us to focus on 'oi' words. How many words can you think of with the sound oi in it? Here is a hint: oi has the same sound as our oy sound.
Can you make some sentences with these 'oi' words in your copy or saying it out loud to someone. Try to make your sentences interesting by adding descriptive words. Remember to use your dictionary to look up any words that you do not understand. The 'oi' words below can help you.
If you would like to practice this sound even more, here are some worksheets:
Do you remember the game that we played in school? Why not try it at home! Ask somebody at home to read the story below out loud to you called 'The Coin in the Soil'. Your job is to close your eyes and count how many times you can hear the sound of week : oi. You can keep track of the number of times you can hear this sound by using a pencil and paper. Have fun :)
Let's practice our multiplication sums girls!
Always begin by adding the Units!
Remember to carry your Ten if you need to.
