5th Annual Schools Travel Writers Competition

A LETTER HOME

YOUR FAVOURITE HOLIDAY OR JOURNEY

JUST 6 WEEKS LEFT - DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES 31st May

As we all work and school from home in these difficult times, it is key that we still encourage our young writers to write and capture their imaginations in the written form. This is the 5th year of the Schools Travel Writers Competition and again, I am pleased to announce that Aer Lingus is the principal sponsor.

We would love to hear from your students. All they need to do is write a 250-word story, telling family and friends of their adventure real or fictional, in the form of a postcard and if it inspires the vote of a panel of judges they could be in with a chance to win one of these great prizes; a Chromebook and an Amazon voucher worth €100!

The winning stories will also be published nationally, in Cara, the Aer Lingus inflight magazine and on our website. This amazing competition is aimed primarily at 5th and 6th class. The teacher of the winning student will also receive a voucher for €200.

The closing date for entries is the 31st May and the winner will be announced before the end of July
