Tenoch Food Review

Before you order takeout from one of the 8 pizza places in Melrose, why don’t you try the new Mexican restaurant, Tenoch on Main Street!
I decided to try out the new restaurant while I was hanging out with my friends on a warm November afternoon around 4 o’clock. Walking up to take my order I confidently ordered a pollo burrito with rice, black beans, and guacamole only to realize I have pronounced pollo like polo. The cashier greeted me with a smile as I took my burrito. Typical for COVID dining there wasn’t any indoor seating so we had to order takeout and find a place to sit.
Opening the wrapping I was greeted with the warm and welcoming chicken. The burrito wrap was soft provided the perfect warmth. Perhaps it was my own burrito eating expertise but it was not messily made and everything was tightly packed and (somewhat) evenly proportioned. The venue not only has burritos but a variety of sandwiches, tacos, and salads! It is also the only place in Melrose you can get vintage Coca Cola that has the original sugar! The beans added a kick to the texture and flavor swirling together for a perfect taste. Upon finishing the burrito there seemed to be more chicken than any guacamole; I had barely even tasted it!
If you are looking for good Mexican food but don’t want something as pricey as Mexico Lindo or as far away as Chitpotle give Tenoch’s a shot! They make quality mexican food for a good price on the go. The best part--they are right next to Starbucks on Main Street! I know the $20 Domino's pizza deal sounds enticing but why don’t we all take a break from Melrose pizza and grab a pollo burrito from Tenoch!
