Whether you are looking for a home, farm or business, we should be your first stop.
Grover Inman is available to meet your every real estate need.
Here are two excerpts related to the Inman family, one from "Back to the Homeplace: on Monday, March 2, 1987, and one from "The Homeplace Revisited" on Sunday, September 1, 1996.
The firm was founded by Gideon Inman in about 1852 - and while the name has changed slightly, from time to time, it has remained in the Inman family to this day.
Following the Civil War, in 1865, Gideon reopened under the name Oak Creek Real Estate and Land Co and was instrumental in identifying the whereabouts of prior land owners and obtaining proper land titles to unclaimed land formerly owned by earlier settlers.
His son, Jacobi, worked in the Oak Springs Savings Bank and was also affiliated with the Real Estate firm for a number of years.
In about 1900, Aden Inman, son of Jacobi and Allison Olson, took over the Real Estate Firm under the name Oak Springs Real Estate.
He was joined in the business by his son, Adam Inman, in 1927. Aden retired from the business in 1941.
Grover Inman, son of Adam, joined the firm in 1961. Adam passed away, unexpectedly, from an apparent heart attack in 1972.
Following his father's death in 1972, Grover (and his wife, Hedda) used the name Oak Springs Realty as is still in use in 1996.
Note: Virginia (Inman) Hollingsworth was a brother of Adam Inman.
