In 1987, as "Back to the Homeplace" begins...

Beverly, the second oldest Bevins sibling, doesn't really like to come back to the farm. However, her husband, Paul Gates, and their two children, Scott and Heather, are looking forward to it. Paul, with his engineering juices flowing, is looking forward to spending time at the old Mill at the Homeplace and possibly making it operational again.

Paul's older teen-aged daughter, by a prior marriage, Sheila Gates, agrees to move from Jackson, MS, with the family to the small town in the Ozarks of Missouri.

By 1996, following her divorce from Paul Gates, Beverly has married Winston T. Threshold, III - 'Winnie' - a Member of Board of Directors of the Big Thunder Lodge, among many other holdings.
