The Collapse of The Squibbion Age

From the beginning of the industrial revolution, things rapidly went downhill. The few made enormous amounts of wealth well the majority lived in squallers without food clean water or homes. Of course, some tried to change their way with different ideologies then Capitalism from Socialism to Communism to Anarchism though this never got a worldwide foothold the global elite would never willingly give up their power and fought the working class viciously.      

However well all this was going it intertwined with a silent far larger problem that was forming in the clouds above them. The vast factories pumped out tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere trapping the sun's light and heating the earth. 

Now the earth in the Squibbions time was hotter than our time about 6 degrees hotter than today the earth lacked icecaps and the oceans were much warmer. 

This is the worst-case scenario of climate change in our time of course the animals of the Îledescene were adapted for temperatures like this earth had gone through periods this warm in the past the most recent being about 36 million years ago. However, the Squibbion were making an already warm planet dangerously warm. 

The climate began to rapidly turn for the worst heat from the continent mixed with the cool ocean air amping up Hypercanes into truly massive supper storms swamping vast swaths of highly populated coastline. Inland became drier the vast swaths of grassland began to wither and die as the central desert began to spread outward driving animals and people alike towards the shrinking area of grassland between the scorching desert and the flood-ravaged coastline. 

Plants ravaged by drought or swamped by floods faced a new threat the Slithersucker, the slime mold thrived in the heat and with ample food in the vast swarms of insects that feed on the dying plants and the Songbird Blish feeding on them. 

The oceans warmed creating vast algae blooms resulting in mass oceanic die-offs. 

Species began to disappear lost to the claws of extinction Megasquid, Squidtaceans, Oceanic Silverswimmer, and an untold number of Insects, Blish, and other invertebrates.

Most of this damage was suffered by the working class the bourgeoisie paid beak service to the problem for years not wanting to phase out oil as it would cut into their all-important profits. 

Many began to see the flaws in capitalism and the benefits of socialism and communism that stood to help the 99 percent and ride the world of billionaire parasites. 

To keep their power rulers pointed claws at other people blaming anyone but themselves and brutally oppressing any attempts at a communist revolution. 

As all this was going on the Squibbions paleontologists were looking at the skulls of a group of 220-million-year-old group of tree-climbing mammals called primates and found something curious about one of its most derived members the hominids. 

When hominids were discovered and named, they were known to be smart but not exactly how smart. 

Then the discovery of a fossilized mammal brain case gave Squibbion a way to analyze the structure of the mammalian brain and was able to run analyses on the brains of all mammal groups and what they found shocked them. 

Hominids weren't just smart they were just as smart as them.   

This "humanity" were capable of thinking using tools building and art that the Squibbion's in their arrogance though was something only they were capable of.
Looking back at the rock layers the Squibbion's saw a small line about 220 million years ago a line that indicated unusually high carbon levels in the atmosphere. 

A line that appeared right around the time Hominids stopped appearing in the fossil record. 

The Humanity had died out from there immersions and the Squibbions were following them on the well trot trail to oblivion. 

When news got out about this finding a mass panic gripped the species the sparks of revolution roared into an inferno born of fear and an attempt from the Squibbions to keep a patch of their pride a hope that they could be different they could be better they were superior to the humanity they were the best the Squibbions had to be the best the pinnacle of evolution.  

The bourgeoisie realizing, they many were 1 protest gone bad away from being made into calamari desperately came up with "solutions" to the climate collapse.

There first idea was blocking out the sun with clouds yes, they were willing to fight the sun before talking about capitalism, but the masses were quick to revolt that idea down as it would lead to the deaths of hundreds of millions in poorer countries.  

Then on the Cryptoland islands an eccentric billionaire Ksum Nole invented a new invention massive several hundred-foot-tall carbon capturing robot.  

People were skeptical there were already carbon capturing robots and this was the guy who named his son E=MC-Squared but according to him "This gamechanger is able to move across the land" "How did we get them to move simply my friend we integrated them with the latest cutting-edge microchip technology allowing them to prosses and analyze the world around them and make their own discissions"

"Why yes you could say there "conscious" but there's nothing to worry about they's an override for us to take control of it"
