A descendant of the Tusk Grazer the Boar Grazer is an imposing and brutish beast going down a different evolutionary path than other herbivorous Terra Squids.
Well, other herbivores like the Cephalops are becoming more elegant with long running legs and gracile, cursorial forums for running long distances. Boar Grazers are anything but gracile, slow plodding beasts these Tusk Grazer descendants have adapted to the ice age world by growing bigger they have grown to over 1000 pounds they have become too big to outrun their predators instead they lumber along using their gnarly Tentacle derived tusks to defend themselves ramming opponents into the ground and aren't above kicking or even sitting on those who attack them from behind.
Their tusks are also useful for uprooting grass roots and all, unlike Cephalops who snip the stems off, Boar Grazers are also more omnivorous than Cephalops feeding on fossorial insects and even scavenging the kills of other animals using their large size to scare off smaller scavengers. To show this different lifestyle Tusk Grazers have flat internal beaks with crowned pegs to grind down anything they put in their mouth unlike the beaks of Cephalope specialized for grazing
Boar Grazers are far less social than Cephalope they only live in small bands of three to five as they don't need the protection of large herds adults have few predators and to a good job protecting their single calf from predators as well. Their large size and lack of predators means Boar Grazers live much longer than most other Terra Squids sometimes more than 40 years bearing the scars of countless attacks from predators and other Boar Grazers. Few animals of the Ice Age can match their resilience.
