Eqsquids 

Eqsquids are a clade of cursorial Cephalope descendants from the Sqeezebra. They are entirely an open terrain group in contrast to the related Schalicos with large hooves that carry straight-angaled legs. Nostrils positioned above their eyes. Relatively short horns are no longer used in enter-species combat with less drag as they overall trended to smaller sizes than the Super-Stars. 

An increase in lumbar “vertebra” back to where their leg pairs separate gives them a greyhound-like dip in their back and enables better running.    

The Sprinting Sqhorse is the most abundant in most of the world's grasslands and scrubland regions. 

Of all Terra Squids, they are among the fastest only behind smaller relatives, and the best over long distances with even Qwolves not being able to bet them in runs of endurance. 

Well, Sqhorse are found in the scrublands others like the Wild Quass are found only in these dry lands closest to the hellscape of the central desert.

Well not as harsh as the place further inland the scrublands are less productive than the steeps Quass’s are the largest herbivores in the environment much bigger in mass than the Hoppers they share it with. 

Their size of 4 feet tall leaves them safe from Sqyotes and Raptorial Blish that make up the region's predator guild although the frequencies in which foals are taken means the small herd of these Cephalopes are unusually aggressive stamping and kicking at any carnivores within a general area of them.
