Cock of the Flock 

A bizarre looking Fowl Blish. The Cock of the Flock shows extreme sexual dimorphism between the sexes. 

The Cock of the Flock is a type of Fowl Blish. A pheasant sized animal found on the dry grasslands of what was the Mediterranean of our time. 

The Cock of the Flocks most striking feature is the extreme sexual dimorphism with the males sporting bright yellow hair on there chest a plum around there back leg and fur coated almost ridiculous looking crests. 

Like all Blish the males can raise there hair as it's made from derived Cycloid scales and resembles thousands of tiny pufferfish spines up close. 

During the breeding season males forum massive lech's with the much less flashy females choosing which male they find the most attractive well the males dance and sing to court mates. 

Of course despite looking a fair bit like birds Blish can't sing like them since they don't have the voice box to make bird calls. Blish vocalize by extending there jaws and forcing air in and out of there throat creating a rasping whooping or coughing noise that sounds like a mix of a gecko croak and someone coughing with a lung infection. 

In the case of the Cock of the Flock the males enlarged chest creates a loud hissing cough. Despite there small size there one of the loudest Blish by volume there ruckus calls caring across the open sky of the Grasslands for miles. 

Male Cocks of the Flock are so overlay decorated that it can hinder there survival when there not courting mates as there flashy crests make them easier to spot by the numerous predators of the grasslands. 

Of course the upside is that some males will be able to breed with up to 30 females. 

Since males don't provide parental care for there chicks males may produce up to 240 offspring in a single breeding season. 

So even with there overley goty apperance acting like a beacon to predators the odds of passing on there genes makes it all worth it for the males.
