Server Rules

This server is 16+.
The content in the Vale can lean on intense, graphic, and dark. For that reason, a slightly older audience is required to join.

Strikes are optional.
In theory, the mods may provide 3 strikes before a member is removed. However, that is at our discretion entirely; we want this to be a safe, fun environment, and people who disrupt that are not welcomed here. If the mods believe that removing you is the right decision, then we will.

Basic Server Etiquette is expected.
Be mindful of what channel you’re posting in and put content in the appropriate categories. Try to read a room when interacting; if something you're saying isn't well received, please don't keep fanning the flames. Respect the mods; their decision is final, regardless of who you get it from. Do not try to staff-split, or you will be removed/banned.*
*Anyone is welcome to contact the server owner if they believe their case was handled unfairly.

Please keep rants, negative conversation, tragedies, etc, in the Doomer channel.
Everyone feels low sometimes, bad things are always going on, however the server is meant to be an escape for those seeking it. We have a dedicated place for sorrow and grim discussion, please use it.

Try to keep conversations in the chats inclusive.
If a conversation is between two people for a prolonged period of time, mods will try to redirect to open up the topic. Members will be asked to take a conversation to direct messages if the prompt does not work.

All roleplay server advertisements require a Share For Share (S4S) agreement.
We do not do casual shares, we apologize.

Do not spam for any reason. You will be removed.
There's no reason to do this. If you start spamming, even as a joke, you will be removed for a cooldown. When you return, if it happens again, you will be banned.*
* Mods may ban on the first offense depending on severity.

Please credit all images you use, whenever you are sending a picture.
Even if it was made or taken by you, please specify that it is your own creation. There is no exception to this.  You must also make sure you have permission to use any of the images you post if not made by you.
Characters that were not designed for you, and real-life images or art of cats where the owners forbid reposts, are not allowed to be used at any time. "Artist unknown" is not acceptable at any time and your image will be removed.

Please do not use the @ everyone command.
That is exclusively for admins to use for big announcements when needed. It should be disabled anyway, but if it ever isn't and people abuse it, some sort of consequence will follow.

Lastly, please be respectful!
This is including but not limited to using respectful language toward one another, avoiding confrontation and/or keeping outside drama outside, respecting all server members and following community guidelines, etc, etc. We are incredibly fair and the rules are honestly pretty generic - they're only broken down so specifically so that people cannot claim we never outlined it in our guidelines.
