As the ancestral home to four different Clans, the Vale stretches far and wide - over mountains, through forests, across streams, and along plains.
Located within a mountain valley, the Vale is a varied-landscape stretch of land that houses meadows, forests, and streams. It has been untouched by Twolegs since the days of the ancient Clans, and so has had plenty of time to grow and flourish without corruption or destruction. Consequently, the Clans have a great deal of territory each.
The Clans are located in what is referred to as the Lowlands of the Vale. The Highlands, which are upon the elevated slopes that encase the Vale, are very rocky and hilly. The Highlands were previously thought to be uninhabitable until CaveClan settled there after many moons of exile.
It is not uncommon for loners or rogues to make their way through, or even settle on the outskirts of or in Clan territories, due to the optimal living conditions.
At the very center of the Vale, marked by a risen, smooth stone, and a dip in the earth with several grooves for audience seating, the Heart of the Vale was formed long ago by the ancient Twolegs.
It has served as a gathering place since the very beginning of the Clans existence, and the they meet here once a season to give important news, share tongues, and return home when clouds cover the moon.
In order to speak with their ancestors in StarClan, the Clan Cats must traverse through StreamClan territory and go beyond it to a cave complex. There, one of the caves is narrow, and dips deep under ground, where a fantastical sight awaits.
The walls here are embedded with stones that twinkle like stars, and a large, dazzling stone sits in the center. Touching noses to it will allow a cat to access StarClan through their dreams.
Just beyond the claimed Clan lands, the three most prominent features of the territories all converge together. Thick forest lands, meadowy clearings, and streams turn the Voidlands into a mystical place.
However, a dark history and much blood dirties this territory - it is forbidden to be claimed, and houses a large structure known as the Temple. Cats may not casually visit the Voidlands, however, in Leafbare, all four are permitted to hunt if prey becomes dangerously scarce - but only in moderation.
Located within the Voidlands, the Temple of the Lost is a large, abandoned Twoleg structure, sealed off at any possible openings, and forbidden to be entered.
The Temple is rumored to have housed monsters during the time of the ancients, and old tradition dictates to never access the inside, for the monsters lurk, awaiting their next meal; the flesh of felines. It was here that the Coven settled, and where one of the final battles took place.
