Up next for Ole’s Manchester United side is West Ham. Looking to bounce back from the disappointment of the Champions League defeat away to Young Boys, we hope to see United put on a much better performance to reclaim their position at the top of the league. A strong performance will also be needed, with David Moyes’ West Ham starting the Premier League strongly, drawing two and winning two, leaving them just two points behind us.
However, to United’s advantage the Hammers will be without Premier League top scorer Michail Antonio, who is out due to suspension. He has netted four times in four games, so is a huge miss for them. West Ham will also be without centre back Winston Reid, who is also still out to injury.
As for United, Edinson Cavani is still likely to miss out, although Scott Mctominay has returned to the squad. While Dean Henderson and Phil Jones have made appearances in the Under-23’s, they are also unlikely to play a part in the game. However Amad, Marcus Rashford and Alex Telles are certainly unavailable for the game, due to injury. Despite this, Aaron Wan Bissaka is available, as his suspension only applies to European fixtures.
This match is certainly shaping up to be an interesting fixture. With Moyes’ side performing incredibly well, off the back of a victory against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League, they will be keen to prove themselves against a side that is sitting right at the top of the table and to maintain their form, however without Antonio questions may be asked of their goalscoring capabilities.
Man Utd, however, are coming into this game keen to get back on track. For Ole, he will be trying to negate the damage of the defeat against Young Boys, and to not let it affect our form going forward, as we cannot afford to let our rivals gain points on us at this early stage in the season.
