Faculty Triennial spark 2026

The New Gallery, with support from the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the Department of Art + Design, presents Faculty Triennial: Spark to open the 2026–27 exhibition season.

The faculty exhibition showcases the work of full-time and part-time faculty, as well as staff who teach and work within the Department of Art + Design. The exhibition offers the campus community and visitors an opportunity to engage with ideas across a diverse range of disciplines, including art history research, ceramics, drawing, graphic design, illustration, new media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and textiles.”

Members of the Department of Art + Design are professional artists and academics who share their work and expertise nationally and internationally in institutions across the globe. The New Gallery hosts this exhibition every three years, offering students and the broader community an opportunity to experience the department’s collective creative practice in one space.

This exhibition reflects the talent, craftsmanship, and intellectual dialogue that we also expect and hope to inspire in our students and represents not only the academic excellence, but also the creativity, curiosity, and commitment to artistic practice that define our APSU community.
