Attrition
NOTE: The following may be subject to change depending on the Alumni's current attrition levels. You can see the current attrition statistics here. Major changes to our stats will also be announced in the Discord.
Official Flashstorm Caliber (PL and SPL values) can be found here.
Due to a shortage of ballistic munitions within the group's stockpile, (including cartridges, shells and any powder-based weaponry.) energy based equipment will now be used much more often and be readily available to all LR+. The staff team will heavily enforce its usage across the board, Melee weapons are also advised to be used more frequently.
Limitations
Ammo carry per type has been cut down significantly, as the usage of rechargeable energy cells is put in play much more frequently. You are expected to accommodate properly for all items, the example below will help with the basics. (The right side number is the magazine/cell within your weapon, the left side is what would be within your load bearing equipment.
During extended patrols or combative operations, the usage of pack mule roles (Adiutors & non combative droids) will be used much more thoroughly when the need to carry extra supplies for prolonged operations becomes a must.

What should I use over ballistic firearms?
These include the basic laser rifles and pistols such as Spectre, Crusader Laser, Blackstar, ANTECs, Zappers, Rose, Bluebell, Trident T-72ULF, Fire poppy, etc.
Certain specialized roles such as Clypeus, Arquitens, etc. Would only utilize their own specific variations of a certain weapon. (Example: Clypeus using the Blackstar “Lazarus” configuration or a SPECTRE, Arquitens using the ANTEC Superfocus or a Velites using the MARAUDER.)
Gauss rifles that scale past calibers of 6.8/6.5 in effectiveness will only be available for MR+. Items such as the Shooting Star (variants), Sterling Prototype 935, MAGNUS, etc may be utilized freely by LR+.
Railguns such as the VOSTOK & ALMVS may be utilized by Velites & Arquitens for specific situations with HR+ permission only.
What should I use for ballistic firearms?
Firearms that are 5.56x45mm NATO and below may be freely used by LR+. 6.8x51mm FURY is available to SMR+. Anything ranging from .308 Winchester and above will be available for MR+ within certain salutatorian roles or only being handed out for special occasions.
Fictional calibers such as 8mm COAL/7.92, 7x23mm caseless and .32 “Sunrise” may be used as well if you own the appropriate items that use said calibers.
Exotic/Unconventional firearms such as The Hellfire Flamethrower, Whirlpool, Experiment 405 ("Schobert"), etc. are unchanged in their availability. However you must accommodate properly for ammunition if you are able to utilize such items.
Yes, you may still RP certain firearms as non-in game firearms that are in-line with the current rule set. However, please keep in mind typical restrictions for calibers of whichever weapon you're RPing.

Pistols
.38 Police
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.38 Special); PL2
Description: A very handy police revolver chambered for .38 special. Soft recoil, reliable action, and fairly decent accuracy. Many aftermarket parts exist, and plenty of post flash modifications exist. A common handgun among those who distrust post-flash semi automatics.
ANTEC M63
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Energy (Deuterium-Fluoride cells, .45 ACP Equivalent); PL2
Description: The ANTEC M63 is a very common laser-pistol, widely used across the wasteland by security forces. It has a very high ammo capacity, but a low power for it generally being similar to a 9mm. As any other laser weapon, it suffers its faults such as expensive parts. Can equip some modifications.
ANTEC M59
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Energy (Deuterium-Fluoride cells, .357 Magnum Equivalent); PL2
Description: The predecessor to the ANTEC M63E1, the M59 was an innovative weapon of the time. Boasting a large capacity chemical cell along with the ability to mount a stock, tactical module, and a specialized SOCOM modification, the M59 is a true multi-tool for those lucky enough to get their hands on one.
Baccarat
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm); PL2
Description: The Baccarat is an interesting pistol, seemingly a copy or reproduction from the great-war era Steyr M1912. It's considered the first machine pistol in the world, and despite the aged design it's still incredibly reliable and durable and lightweight as it has proven to be in the trenches of WW1. Due to its high firerate, you're likely to run out of bullets, so it has a bayonet attached at the front as you'd spend a while reloading the weapon without any clips.
Beretta M9
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm); PL2
Description: The Beretta M9 or just M9 is an italian firearm known for its classic design which made it an extremely common weapon as it was sold across the civilian market after being used as standard issue before the flash. Alumni hold a stockpile of functional M9s which are free for anyone to use.
C96
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (7.63mm Mauser, 9x19mm, 9mm Mauser); PL2
Description: An iconic german pistol. Nicknamed the "broomhandle" due to its shape, it's not a surprise that copies and reproductions of this pistol were made, even almost three centuries after it was originally designed. It's fed from the top via clips and it's semi automatic, and originally used to come with a stock. No matter how old this pistol is, it'll continue to put holes through people with incredible reliability.
Capper
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm); PL2
Description: A heavy, bulky and long pistol made in the wasteland. It can come with a modern kit and an under barrel revolver attachment. The pistol despite its crude nature is actually rather reliable with the ability to mount sights and smooth recoil due to the weight of the barrel.
DT7 Pistol
Availability: ☆ UNIVERSAL (LR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (7x23mm Caseless); PL2
Description: This WW3-era pistol managed to find its way into the bunker of Alumni. Due to the rarity of the weapon it’s been restricted to more trusted hands. It can sport multiple modifications and a suppressed barrel whilst leaving no casings behind. Very costly, but very reliable with smooth recoil.
Durant New Army
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.44 Percussion); PL2
Description: A classic cowboy revolver which has seen mostly production in the SU and has managed to find its way up into Lake Erie. It is a single action revolver which can easily swap the cylinder. Some have been re-fitted to be carbines as well which work in the same way.
Gauntgun (Devil's Handshake)
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.38 special / .357 magnum); PL2
Description: 'Sleeve guns' were developed during WW2, and since then, many iterations have existed. Some are slicker in design, meant for assassinations, but sometimes all you need is a revolver directly attached to your wrist to deal with whatever problem you've got infront. This double-action design has all the advantages and disadvantages that you can think of.
Gauntgun (Zapper "Dafodil")
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Laser (Oxygen-Chlorine Cells); PL1
Description: This particular zapper was made to be hidden around the user's wrist, being slick to keep a low profile. Perfect for concealments, and comparatively safer than its ballistic counterpart. Unfortunately, it lacks in stopping power and accuracy. The fusion cell is also small compared to the other zappers. It is mostly intended to be used in self-defense, or to carry out... shadier activities. After all, who needs a hard-hitting round when you can leave your opponent writhing in pain from multiple blistering third degree burns?
Harp
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.22 long rifle); PL1
Description: A sidearm that replaced the classic Ruger standard. This weapon is mostly favored by SRB officers due to the fact that it's more quiet, smooth recoil, adjustable sights, trigger style, and because it just looks so darn cool. Afterall, one doesn't need a super strong high caliber firearm to put a random criminal on the ground.
Indie Single Action
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.357 magnum); PL2
Description: A single-action revolver of wasteland origin, typically in the hands of pirates, (such as the Voyageurs) desperados, and vagabonds alike. Sporting the .357 cartridge, it packs a hefty punch with considerable recoil; enough to make anyone's blood run cold.
LT Pistol
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.45 ACP, 10mm, 9mm, .40 S&W); PL2
Description: The LT pistol is, on the surface, fairly bland. It uses single stack proprietary magazines. It has a fixed barrel, the mag sits in front of the trigger. It has a comfortable handguard. Apart from those, it looks, rather disinteresting. However, this was one of the first production weapons post-flash to be made almost entirely from 3d-printed materials.
LXVII
Availability: ⬦ SELECTIVE (SR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.44 magnum, .357 magnum); PL2
Description: A very large semi-automatic handgun, likely a remaster of the pre-Flash Magnum Research Desert Eagle. Loud, intimidating, and will likely punish your wrists if you aren't born to wield it. If you manage to connect some shots on your adversary, they'll be out of the fight and want to stay out of it.
The LXVII features a longer barrel in comparison to its ancestor, allowing it to fit a muzzle break to cushion the nasty recoil. It additionally features a variety of grips and panels, along with the ability to fit a sight mount, which is capable of mounting sights or smaller scopes. Within the Alumni, military automata find some fun with the LXVII, and on top of that it tends to be a popular choice for hunting game.
"Point four-four."

M1908-2160 ‘Heron’
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.45 ACP); PL2
Description: A coalition-made pistol for the trenches, or for any person. It serves well enough as a carbine with a stock and a long barrel, however most of the time it’s just a self-defense pistol. The pistol is great for self-defense, and reliable enough. Very common and easy to manufacture.
Mendel 32
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm); PL2
Description: The mendel 32 is one of the most classic, and common pistols that could ever be found in the wasteland. This reliable weapon is outdated, however due to its efficiency, cheap cost and reliability, this WW3 weapon has found its way into the stockpiles of the Alumni arsenal.
Mendel 63
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm); PL2
Description: An integrally suppressed version of the Mendel platform, invented in the NEU during the 2110s. The weapon features barrel customization and offers a rigid construction which works on harsh climates. The weapon itself isn’t a charm as it still has many faults, but it’s not too expensive and highly compatible with other mendels.
Mendel Match
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.40 S&W); PL2
Description: The Mendel Match is a highly accurate weapon featuring a compensator. It is more advanced than its other counterparts whilst also having a medium caliber, with little recoil. Although a bit bulky, it’s very efficient.

NEMS-X45 "Nemesis"
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.45 ACP, 9mm); PL2
Description: A smaller pistol bearing resemblances to the classic Mendels. It features a whole range of personalization options, and its malleable furniture allows for seamless deconstruction and reconstruction if you ever find it needs a deep cleaning. It additionally features a ported barrel, which lessens the recoil when firing. An excellent choice for operatives who want to get up close and personal.
Phoenix L158 Modular Laser Mk5 "Solo" Config
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Laser (Deuterium-Fluoride Cells, .357 Magnum Equivalent); PL1
Description: A reliable laser pistol based off of the Antec series of laser weaponry, it has great modularity, incredible accuracy, and is durable, not to mention the high capcity it also has. Although, it's quite difficult to do maintenance on, those who use it are glad to have it when needed. Some are a bit annoyed by the bulkiness, but it's ability is worth the extra weight.
Pipe Pistol “Blackjack”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm MAX); PL2
Description: This pipe pistol is a bunch of cobbled up pistols with parts being used to make a cheap, yet functional pistol. It’s very unreliable meaning it jams very often, although it can feature a bunch of modifications to its barrel.
Pipe Pistol “Locust”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.32 Sunrise); PL2
Description: A bulky, cheap, scrappy SMG with a simple direct blowback operating system. A machine pistol of Southpoint origin, its rather patchwork and tends to have manufacturing flaws. Despite that, it might be better than using a Blackjack. It has some personalization options, with the ability to fit a 60 round drum. However, the weight likely proves as a detriment, and its strange shape doesn't do any favors.
Quiman
Availability: ⬦ SELECTIVE (SR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (5.7x28mm or .45 ACP); PL2
Description: An integrally suppressed weapon, which has a high-tech expensive mechanism which makes it costly to maintain overall. It sports an uncommon caliber seen in the wasteland, with a green tint on the weapon. Although it’s not too rare, it can be expensive.
Scrap Pistol "Spade"
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm); PL2
Description: A variable quality wasteland pistol that can range from being good as a 3d printed handgun to a gun that has a tendency to damage the user more so than the enemy. For the most part, it's cheap, reliable, accurate, and has a fairly low amount of recoil.
Seraph 330
Availability:☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon type: Ballistic (.44 Magnum); PL2
Description: A snubnose version of the Seraph 550 revolver. This version is more easily concealed inside the letterman of an Aspirant in the event that concealment is needed whilst preserving the power of the Seraph. Although lacking the ability to mount a thermal scope, and having lesser accuracy than its full sized cousin, it’s capable of utilizing an in-built laser or a suppressor.
Seraph 550
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (.44 Magnum); PL2
Description: A simple, modern double-action revolver which can fire .44 at fast rates. It’s not the most accurate and it has a hefty kick, whilst also packing plenty of punch. It is sometimes seen sported by Mentors and above with a thermal scope fit for it.
Smith DES
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic ( 5mm electromagnetic slugs, .357 magnum - .30 carbine; power variation between attachments.); PL2
Description: The Smith DES is a intuitive gauss handgun sporting a sleek and comfortable design and exemplary modularity. Chambering electromagnetic slugs, it serves many Sunrise islanders well through the oppressive wasteland conditions, where conventional ammunition can be difficult to procure and weapon maintenance can be costly, as its streamlined design keeps dust out of the wrong places. Unfortunately however, the trigger proves to be a bane for casual users, as many gun runners allude to its propensity to grow corroded and damaged. The pros tend to outweigh the cons with the Smith DES, as its ability to mount a suppressor and bayonet interchangeably, additional battery slotting + subsequent joule output, and even glowing sights is incredibly forgiving.
Not much is known about the origins of the Smith's design. It seems to take inspirations the Laugo Arms 'Alien' handgun of old. Some sources believe the its producers lie in the south in and amongst the patches of deadlands.
Speakeasy
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (20 gauge); PL2
Description: The speakeasy is a common derringer made of scrap found anywhere across NEU. It’s a shotgun, so it’s best used within 15 feet of range. Whilst it’s a cheap product, it can be easily concealed, replaceable, and features a wide array of attachments for its faults, whilst keeping a low reliability.
Spengler 984
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Energy (Deuterium-fluoride cells, 10mm-auto equivalent); PL1
Description: The Spengler 984 is favored amongst the Valedictorians. Revocares vouched for its effectiveness when out doing expeditions. Incredibly accurate, powerful, and easy to maintain for those who don't know how to repair firearms. Even though it's favored, it doesn't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows, Valedictorians complain about how heavy and bulky the weapon is. Without continuing upkeep with the gun, there's a chance for it to blow up the user's hand. Treat the weapon right, it'll treat you back.
SuperColt
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: EBC Cpd.204-BR (.45 HP equivalent); PL1
Description: Originating in the Pacific Union, the SuperColt is an exotic, bulky conversion for the traditional Colt 1911. Weapon Type: Gauss (.224 Brouillard-Curie ferromagnetic gauss sabot, .277 FURY equivalent); PL3
Description: The Thorn is a single-shot gauss pistol which fires an extremely powerful slug equivalent to a 30-06. The gun despite being a bit heavy seems to have proven itself enough to be reserved by Velite who require a powerful sidearm with minimal kick but enough power to take down an enemy.
Warden-3DR
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Ballistic (9x19mm); PL2
Description: The Warden-3DR is, in simplistic terms, a 3D printed edition of the Glock-17. Printed from a lightweight polymer, it's cheap, reliable, (to an extent) and easy to take care of. Along with it being able to accept a variety of accessories, it also has the added bonus of taking on a 3D printed casing, allowing it to be turned into a short carbine. An excellent weapon for beginner shooters.
Zapper “Bluebell”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Energy (CO2-Helium cells, 9x19mm equivalent); PL1
Description: The Zapper “Bluebell” is a cheap production being made of 3D printed plastics and salvaged metals. At the same time, it’s easier to replace parts, but builds up oxidation on the cell, requiring more reloads for less power, whilst giving a faster rate of fire and hindered accuracy.
Zapper “Firepoppy”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Energy (CO2-Helium cells, .380 Auto equivalent, .45 ACP equivalent with Sunburn); PL1
Description: While most zappers have a reputation for burning their target, only one is known to quite literally set them on fire. The firepoppy dumps most of its energy as heat, igniting flammable targets and causing skin to boil and melt. Unfortunately, the actual “bullet” wound is fairly meager, not much more than a .380 ACP. The sunburn barrel, however, is more akin to a .45 at the cost of not setting your targets ablaze.
Zapper “Hellebore”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Energy (Oxygen-Chlorine cells, .45 ACP equivalent); PL2
Description: The Zapper “Hellebore” is a rare, costly and stylish green variant of the zappers. It can come with a stock, and an extended barrel with a rail up top, hitting at a power equivalent of .45 ACP using oxygen chlorine gas cylinders to reload it. It has a slow RoF with less reloads.
Zapper “Rose”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Type: Energy (Iodine-Oxygen cells, 10x25mm equivalent); PL2
Description: The Zapper “Rose” is a simple zapper. This one being in the middle tier for the 2 zappers, this gun hits harder than the rest, having a smaller RoF than the Bluebell but more ammo capacity. It wears down fairly fast due to how fragile it is in certain parts, but it’s cheap enough to replace them.
Shotguns
8 Gauge
Availability: ✤ RARE (HR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (8 gauge); PL4
Description: The 8 Gauge is a rare yet powerful who’s design could be dated all the way back to the 19th century, given it’s powerful kick and extreme penetration it is often not trusted in the hands of Aspirants.
AA-36
Availability: ⏣ MINIMAL (SMR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge buckshot); PL2
Description: A tactical, automatic shotgun which can support multiple attachments, including a drum mag. A rare, costly gun, it’s reserved for trusted hands only. It fires 12 gauge which aids in recoil control, but the gun itself is heavy with the drum mag.
ACS-20
Availability: ⬥ SELECTIVE ROLE RESTRICTED (SR+ CLYPEUS)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (20 gauge); PL2
Description: A cost effective, and manageable 20 gauge automatic shotgun which has both a civilian and military variant, both being quite popular. It has a fast rate of fire and is durable, but is expensive, being only available to a selective few. It's recoil, despite being labeled as "manageable" is still quite harsh, it isn't recommended to use it in sustained fire.
Note: SRs may use the 6rd magazine, MRs are able to use the 14rd magazine.
Anileid 20
Availability: ☆ UNIVERSAL (LR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (20 gauge); PL2
Description: The Anileid is a modern shotgun capable of semi automatic fire, even though it is one of the most common shotguns in the alumni’s possession, its extended magazine attachment is barely seen.
ANTEC M63 “Scattershot”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Energy (Deuterium-Fluoride cells, 20 gauge equivalent); PL1
Description: An advanced version of the Antec 63. This weapon features a barrel which can load battery cells, which are then fired in a scattered manner hence the name “Scattershot”. The laser shotgun isn’t too strong, but it compensates with very high RoF, low recoil, and high ammo capacity.
Blunderbuss
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge equivalent ‘buckshot’ lead balls); PL2
Description: The blunderbuss is considered the early predecessor of shotguns. The name of the gun comes from the Dutch, the gun itself is really cheap to manufacture and very bad at longer ranges, making it only usable in close-range. Rather similar to the musket, they’re not too common to see.
“I risked my life for this? A blunderbuss? Is this a joke? What is this, 1850?”
Bobwhite
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge); PL2
Description: A reliable double barrel 12 gauge shotgun. It's design isn't unique, an almost exact copy of most double barrel shotgun. The origins of this come from hunters and those looking to defend their land from wild animals in the woods, post flash, of course. It's recoil is harsh, it's reload take a while to get used to, but it packs a punch and is cheap as dirt.
Browning Auto-5
Availability: ☆ UNIVERSAL (LR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge, 16 gauge, 20 gauge); PL2
Description: The Browning Auto-5 is one of the first ever successful semi-automatic shotgun designs ever serviced, being first fielded for combat over 250 years ago. It bears the positive reputation of being rather reliable and customizable, having been a fan-favorite of close quarter skirmishers in the dozens of pre-flash wars before WW1. Following WW1, the Browning Auto-5 was overshadowed by other successors, however its blueprint and general design philosophies were preserved, allowing it to survive the nuclear war. Nowadays, some blemished post-flash recreations or pre-flash inspired reinventions of the Auto-5 are seen in the hands of the Alumni, with a couple weapon history-buffs in and amongst Sanctum popularizing its pre-flash nickname, the "Humpback" —a reference to the shotgun's distinctive shape.
Cinquedea
Availability: ★ UNIVERSAL ROLE RESTRICTED (LR+ SALUTATORIANS)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge, .410 bore); PL2
Description: A post-flash rehashing of the infamous KelTec KS-7 series of shotguns, though now with more refined internals for improved reliability. The Cinquedia sees production all across the North American wastes, though most tend to be found up near the Canadian border, where they find plenty of use as semi-concealable weapons, often hidden inside long jackets.
Dracia
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge); PL2
Description: A common pump action shotgun. It is very simple and easy to make. It's rather lackluster in reliability and has an elevated potential to malfunction, however the Dracia is rather lightweight and cheap as dirt, making it a favorite amongst Aspirants who can’t afford a better weapon.
Highwayman
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (20 gauge buckshot); PL2
Description: The Highwayman is a reliable and handy revolving shotgun renowned for its surprisingly high value for its cost. While it's not as powerful as other shotguns, it certainly is one of the most reliable, being able to shoot anything that fits in its cylinder with little to no malfunctions even after months of zero cleaning and maintenance.
Luzerne
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (10 / 12 gauge buckshot); PL3 / PL2
Description: The Luzerne is a scrap pipe shotgun. As is usual with all pipe guns, a variety of things can be vaguely called a "Luzerne". It can sport a variety of things depending on what the user puts on it. It has an adjustable stock and crude ironsights. Interestingly enough, this design is a bolt action (or single shot). Most were probably manufactured in a wasteland workshop for those who couldn't afford anything better.
Note: The 10 gauge single shot is only available for SR+, universal.
Keystone SSS
Availability: ★ UNIVERSAL ROLE RESTRICTED (LR+ SALUTATORIANS)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge); PL2
Description: The Keystone is a simple (if outdated) somewhat iconic pump-action shotgun designed to cycle a number of different shells with little to no issues. It was made to be as small, compact and light as possible, allowing the barrel to be hinged and folded to shrink down the already slim body of the shotgun. This allowed it to be easily concealed and incredibly easy to carry in things like backpacks and trenchcoats.
M2128 "Assault"
Availability: ⬥ SELECTIVE ROLE RESTRICTED (SR+ CLYPEUS/VELITES)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge buckshot); PL2
Description: The M2128 "Assault" is the big brother of the M2128 "Breacher", It lacks the pump-action and instead trades it for a semi-auto configuration. It's just as deadly if not more so, but be careful touching that heatshield!
M2128 "Breacher"
Availability: ★ UNIVERSAL ROLE RESTRICTED (LR+ CLYPEUS/VELITES)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge buckshot); PL2
Description: A pump-action 12 gauge shotgun, bearing resemblance to the pre-Flash Super 90 models produced by Benelli Armi SpA, and possibly a newer iteration of the same line. It borrows a variety of design elements from its predecessor, featuring an ARGO system, rail interface, and collapsible buttstock. It is a popular choice amongst shotgun-toting Salutatorians, and even some Sanctum Regulators if they manage to be approved for one.
Monroe Single Shot
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Ballistic (12 gauge buckshot); PL2
Description: A common single-shot break action shotgun which is most commonly used in hunting, being able to accept any shotgun round above 8 gauge but most commonly 12 gauge. It features a long barrel which aids in recoil, but you only get 1 shot. One shot, one victory.
NLR Blackstar “Lazarus”
Availability: ☆ APPRENTICE (XR+)
Weapon Category: Energy (Helium-cadmium cells, ~.410 bore buckshot equivalent); PL1
Description: The Blackstar is a wonderful laser rifle hailing from the Pacific Union. The Lazarus conversion is far more interesting. Featuring 3 separate diodes each firing a two-round burst, as well as a unique pump-action system which allows steam to vent from the weapon, cooling it down. The gun is still just as reliable as any pump shotgun, and can prove to be devastating if used correctly.
Paradigm
Availability: ☆ UNIVERSAL (LR+)
Weapon Category: EBC (EnBC "Peppermint" ~.410 bore buckshot equivalent); PL1
Description: The Paradigm EBC Shotgun is a expels a unique "Peppermint" endothermic ballistic compound, which upon contact scatters into smaller pellet-like fragments, causing freezer burns and frostbite to exposed flesh with the help of its liquid nitrogen mix. It sports a variety of differing constructions, utilizing a range of unique fusion cores, which can dramatically amplify the laser output. The Zeus core, a rare and sought after modification, originally surfaced as a compendium project and gave the 2000J (or 7.62x39mm equivalent) laser a light EMP effect. (Attempts to make a taser variant of the Zeus failed spectacularly.)
Other core variants such as the Hephaestus swap out the exoticism of the fusion core for improvised chemical batteries. A modification which drops the joule output to around 900, (or 10mm equivalent) but lessens the expenses of ammunition for its owners who may be living in squalor. Some Energias have been reverse engineered by wastelanders and subsequently reproduced. However, without the gifted touch of the Alumni, they remain at only 70% of the power of the original models. The official Energia MK.5 models continue to be envied by locals, who occasionally set up ambushes on Alumni patrols in hopes to be graced the opportunity of acquiring the fabled rifle.
