The Difference between raster and vector is that a raster is made up of a specific number of pixels within a picture. While a vector is made up of anchor, and points connected by line segments called paths based off of mathematical calculations. One noticeable difference between rasters and vectors is that when you zoom into a vector graphic the resolution decreases because of the individual paths. While vectors do not lose the sharpness of their points because they are not pixel based. One of the main uses for raster/ Bitmap programs is to edit photos because the abundance of pixels allows you to choose different colors for pictures and photos, while vector programs allow the user to create images through different shapes ,and sizes by using outlines.
