Jie Qi seems to be a very out of the box inventor/ artist, she is using paper as a versatile material to intertwine circuits and the imagination. Jie Qi takes paper crafts to another level by giving them life through lights and operational paper cut outs. Throughout many of her art pieces she has circuits that move, glow, and sing. I think its creative that Jie Qi inputs interactive pieces into her art to signify individual parts of the art piece coming together as one. She uses her art pieces as a way to express herself as well as Shih Chien Huang. Shih Chien Huang’s is another inventor, his piece The Reusable Universe art piece reminds me of the ocean and bioluminescent organisms. His circuit work is so well blended with his art from the colors of the leds and the programing of the circuit, that instead of the art coexisting independently the art is flowing together all as one.
